The German magazine Die Zeit features a nice Article on the Demoscene in their latest issue:
Die Zeit - Coole Kunst im Rechner
It serves as a pretty good introduction to the Demoscene and was written by Aaron Koenig, who is one of the organizers of the Bitfilm-Festival, which also features an intro competition.
